Hi, I'm Kevin Duncan!

I am from Scotland and have a passion for digital transformation whilst delivering rich user experiences that ensure consistent & sustainable commercial success by aligning business goals with measurable, meaningful changes in customer behaviours.

Most recently, I have worked for Yell and have been the Head of Product. Leading the Product function and creating a Marketplace that will allow businesses of all types to transact digitally with their customers in new ways in all phases of the customer lifecycle.

During 2020, I worked for Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation. Capgemini is at the forefront of innovation to address the entire breadth of clients’ opportunities in the evolving world of cloud, digital and platforms.

Currently I am the Agile Product Manager working alongside HMRC delivering the Making Tax Digital programme. Making Tax Digital is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs. HMRC’s ambition is to become one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world. Making Tax Digital is making fundamental changes to the way the UK tax system works

Throughout 2020 I worked on a number of projects within the Digital Tax Platform for HMRC and, most importantly delivered the digital products that enabled the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. The scheme was part of a number of initiatives launched by the UK Government as part of the COVID response programme to support businesses and the UK Public through an unprecedented global pandemic.

The scheme delivered a discount on meals purchased and consumed within registered outlets and was administered via retrospective payments directly into the bank accounts of large and small businesses. To enable this, a full suite of customer facing tools were developed within record time - registration, claims and a public portal to search for participating outlets. A first for HMRC!

During 2019, I worked for Arnold Clark, Europe's number 1 independently owned family-run car dealer as a Product Owner within their Digital Product Development Department. I specifically delivered the launch of the new customer app that was developed across both iOS and Android platforms. The main focus was to research and develop mobile and wireless tools give Arnold Clark's customers control over every interaction with the company, while creating new ways to communicate with them, and form the basis to explore new, as yet unknown, business models.

Prior to that, I worked for Heineken for over 15 years. From 2012 I worked within the UK B2B E-Commerce team in a variety of roles and in 2017 I progressed to the pan-European B2B E-Commerce function. Since 2017, I have worked in a number of Product Owner/Product Analyst roles across Europe embracing & reinforcing our agile methodologies as a new way of working within the Heineken business.
